An iconic bar in Uluwatu on the cliff edge above a secluded beach. This is the best place to be during the golden hour and watch how the sun sets into the Indian Ocean.
As it is a resort bar, you need to book and advance and pick a table to get a good view (top bar and round deck). Prices are on the higher end, but the award-winning cocktails are really great and unique, with some based on elements of nature.
Insider tip: check their dress code and minimum spend before coming. The lowest minimum spend is at the counter seats (350,000 IDR or 35 AUD per person)

Although not a bar, Mana made it to our list thanks to the cool vibes, ocean breeze, and amazing sunset views over Suluban beach.
The restaurant has a pool and day beds by the pool, but we prefer the main indoor area with tables and the bar, where you can also find a corner with local jewellery and crafts.
Our favourites are Spice Mango cocktails and pork belly tacos. The best day to come is Monday, when you can catch the sunset with live blues.

Hatch Uluwatu
Hatch offers the perfect mix of different music styles with special events every day of the week, plus weekend markets.
Techno, deep house beats, Afro beats, saxophone – just check their schedule, live DJs bring their freshest sets to Hatch’s dance floor every week.

Our favourite things to order here are seafood pasta and a margarita, but we’ve heard that this is a great breakfast spot too.
Happy hour is from 4 to 6 PM, and you get two-for-one cocktails (Strawberry Daiquiri, aka slushie, is very yummy!)

Top-rated bar in Uluwatu with a simple mission: introduce foreigners to Balinese liquor, arak, and do so in the best way possible.
All cocktails are made with arak here. Arak is a type of hard liquor (up to 60%) made with grains like rice or palm sap. So, they take a classic mojito and make it taste like Bali.

This simple cocktail bar, a bit further away from all the nightlife action, is a local hidden gem.
You won’t have bottle service or a VIP table here, but you get cheap cocktails (with arak or classic Western cocktails), friendly vibes, and live music at night.
To get you an idea of how cheap cocktails are at Chill Bar: arak cocktails are 20,000 IDR (2 AUD), and classy choices are about 50,000 IDR (5 AUD). You won’t find such prices in a beach club.

Y Sports Bar
Finally, something for sports fans. This place is spacious, and they have a massive screen and TVs for you to enjoy fights, football, or F1. Plus, every Tuesday they have live music nights.
Food and drinks are super affordable. You get a classic sports bar menu with quick snacks, but also Australian steaks, burgers, grilled seafood, and a decent amount of healthy options.
The drinks menu doesn’t disappoint either; the list of cocktails and shooters just goes on and on, and they are all about 75,000-85,000 IDR (7.5-8.5 AUD).

We love Alma for food and drinks – their Mediterranean menu is amazing, and the dishes we tried (octopus, tartare, and steaks) were absolutely delicious.
They have one of the best wine lists in Uluwatu, with offers by glass and by bottle from Europe, the USA, Australia, Argentina, and South Africa. Plus, a choice of signature cocktails as well.
A great spot to start the night before you move to a club to party.

The only authentic pub in Uluwatu is Gabet’s pub, so we couldn’t skip it! This spot has a soul, and lots of great nights were spent here between pool tables, karaoke, and watching sports.

A cozy pool bar on the main road with shisha, drinks, karaoke, and bean bags to relax.

Cliff Bar at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
If you want to go for drinks and sunset with your loved one, you may want a fancier spot, with an infinity pool, clifftop seating, and, of course, elegant cocktails.
At Cliff Bar, you can order some oysters and island-inspired drinks, or go for a full dinner with pizza and Mediterranean classics. It is further away from the main pool, so you can really be just the two of you.
We like it more than Edge Bali or Ulu Cliff house as it is less crowded.

Single Fin
Famous Sunday sessions at Single Fin never get old. It is a place equally loved by locals and tourists, and it is actually a multi-tiered venue perched on the cliff: you can sit by the pool, at the restaurant area, or just by the counters with the ocean views.
Great place for a coconut or a cold beer, to watch surfers ride the waves or a sunset. However, we are not big fans of their cooking, so we stick with poke bowls or something fresh.
Have to say, beers, even local Bintangs, are rather expensive here, but there is usually no entrance fee or minimum spend.
